A 72-year-old former track coach is facing multiple sexual assault charges stemming from his time at the Edmonton Olympic Track and Field Club in the late 1970s.
Edmonton police launched an investigation into allegations surrounding the coach last April, an EPS news release said Tuesday.
The former Edmonton Olympic Track and Field Club coach was alleged to have sexually assaulted five teenage boys during track meets in Edmonton and Calgary between 1976 and 1980.
He arrived in Edmonton from Ottawa on Tuesday and was charged at police headquarters.
