Hard work pays off for local duo » Borneo Bulletin Online

Intelligent Security Solutions Brunei (ISSB), Brunei’s leading premium security solutions provider, recently held a promotion ceremony for two of its security technicians in recognition of their commitment and professionalism.

Newly promoted local security technicians Abdul Mahyuddin bin Haji Daud and Mohammad Ferdaus bin Morsid started their careers with ISSB as Level 1 security technicians. After breezing through Levels 2 and 3, the duo is now at Level 4 and ranked as Junior Unsupervised Technicians (JUT).

ISSB Managing Director and founder Erdina binti Haji Matussin, an established local entrepreneur, said it is ISSB’s vision to prioritise hiring and developing Bruneians.

She added that many companies experienced retrenchment and down-sizing of workforce due to the pandemic-affected economy, and that ISSB was no exception.

However, under her leadership, together with ISSB’s highly-capable team made up of 100 per cent locals, ISSB had steadied the ship.

ISSB has been expanding operations and staff numbers, due to the capable and committed group of local workforce hired, trained and developed by ISSB’s in-house and on-the-job training programme.
