Malaysia reports 1,304 new COVID-19 cases, 1 new death


KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) — Malaysia reported 1,304 new COVID-19 infections, the Health Ministry said on Friday, bringing the national total to 45,095.

Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah told a press briefing that four of the new cases are imported and 1,300 are local transmissions.

One more death has been reported, bringing the death toll to 304.

Another 900 patients have been released after recovery, bringing the total cured and discharged to 32,969, or 73.1 percent of all cases.

Of the remaining 11,822 active cases, 96 are being held in intensive care and 39 of those are in need of assisted breathing.
