Moon tells Biden he hopes North and South can play bigger roles in Korea issues

South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Monday once again congratulated U.S. President-elect Joe Biden, this time emphasizing his hope that future inter-Korean relations will be based not only on U.S.-ROK cooperation but also the recognition that Pyongyang and Seoul are the “stakeholders” of the Korean Peninsula issues.

On Sunday KST, Moon had congratulated Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris with tweets stressing the “shared values” and “rock-solid” bond between their two countries. Moon’s follow-up remarks on Monday came a day after Biden delivered his official victory speech at a Delaware rally.
