North Korea executed a “big-shot” currency exchange worker in Pyongyang late last month after the country’s exchange rate dramatically dropped, South Korean lawmakers said on Friday.
After speaking with the country’s intelligence agency behind closed doors, National Assembly Intelligence Committee lawmakers Ha Tae-keung and Kim Byung-ki relayed a flurry of claims about North Korea, including a citywide lockdown in Pyongyang last week and a hacking attempt against a South Korean company trying to make a COVID-19 vaccine.
