Seoul urges North Korea to keep calm during US presidential transition

Though North Korea continues to be silent on U.S. President-elect Joe Biden’s victory, Seoul is cautioning Pyongyang to be “prudent and flexible” about the election results.

On Friday, a spokesperson from South Korea’s Ministry of Unification said that Seoul hopes the DPRK avoids rash behavior during the presidential transition period in the United States. President Trump is currently contesting the election results with little evidence, but Biden is nevertheless slated to take the White House in Jan. 2021.
